More forehead-slapping fun!

This article, from a Chrisian news outlet I should point out, talks about the new Evolution exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History (about damn time!) and the soon-t0-open Creation Museum – just outside the bustling scientific metropolis of Cincinatti. Within the article is this quote:

“The Bible, where it touches on science or any subject including same-sex marriage, race or abortion, is totally trustworthy,” said Ken Ham, co-founder and president of Answers in Genesis, in a statement.

This is my biggest pet peeve with Christians who profess Biblical permission for bigotry, hate, and exclusion. I am infuriated that they pick and choose the things that are convenient for them to focus on, and totally ignore all the things that they don’t like. It is ridiculous and unethical. Why must you take a statement about gay sex literally but not about mixing fibers in clothing? Or selling your daughters into slavery? Or stoning your neighbor? It baffles me. At least I can always comfort myself with this:

From: Mark 10:25

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God”

Hahahahahahaha. That’s going to be a rude awakening for some of them.
